Spokesperson of the Election Headquarters: ID cards will not be used in the October 1st elections

The spokesperson of the Election Headquarters stated that IDs will not be stamped in the presidential election on October 1st.

Mohsen Eslami, the secretary and spokesperson of the country’s Election Headquarters, said that in this year’s presidential election, there will be no stamp on the IDs, and the identity verification system will determine who has voted or not.

Based on this, in the twelfth parliamentary elections, election stamps were not placed on the IDs, and voters verified their identity with their national code and cast their votes.

In the fourteenth presidential election, according to the law, voters can cast their votes with their ID card or national card, and identity verification will be done with one of these documents.
