The spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes the participation of Iranian citizens living abroad in the elections.

Naser Kanaani, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stated on Tuesday, June 11, about the ministry’s actions for holding the 14th presidential election outside the country. He mentioned that the maximum participation of people, especially Iranians living abroad, in the presidential elections is very important for the diplomatic system. In this regard, preliminary actions have been taken to create a proper mechanism for the maximum participation of Iranian citizens living abroad, and necessary coordination has been made with the Ministry of Interior.

He added that necessary correspondence is also being conducted with the relevant authorities of countries where presidential elections are held to ensure the safe and comfortable participation of Iranian citizens in the elections, and appropriate measures are being taken in this regard.
