Spokesman of the Judiciary: Sa’dabad carpets were found in government agencies.

Asghar Jahangir, the spokesman for the Judiciary, in response to a question about the latest status of the Sa’dabad Palace carpets theft case, said that a file has been formed in the relevant judicial authority regarding this matter. Individuals have been summoned as informed persons, preliminary investigations have been conducted. Some of these carpets, which were claimed to have been stolen, were found in government agencies. Therefore, the issue of theft did not actually happen, but the concern is that negligence of legal formalities and regulations has occurred, raising suspicions of theft.

The Judiciary spokesman expressed hope that with further follow-ups, appropriate actions will be taken regarding the remaining carpets. This matter will be pursued judicially according to the law. At the same time, if negligence has occurred, the outcome should be determined and made known to the public.
