The NPT Review Conference begins in New York

The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference has begun in New York with the participation of 191 countries.

The review conference of the member countries of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty has started in New York, a meeting that is held every five years.

Currently, 191 countries, including Iran, are members of this treaty, and their representatives are present at this meeting.

This session of the conference has started amid ongoing disputes between Iran and the United States over the nuclear program and uranium enrichment.

On the first day, some countries, including the United Arab Emirates, criticized Iran’s stance by referring to the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and emphasized the necessity for all countries to adhere to international laws.

Reza Najafi is present at this meeting as Iran’s representative.

This conference is scheduled to continue for 26 days.
