Sudden Collapse of Ancient Tower in China

Videos from eyewitnesses in Fengyang, Anhui Province, China, were shared on social media on May 19, 2025, showing part of the roof of an ancient tower suddenly collapsing.

Local authorities and the Fengyang County Culture and Tourism Department confirmed the date of the incident in a statement, stating that the tiles on the eastern side of the roof of Fengyang Drum Tower collapsed around 6:30 PM local time on Monday.

This structure is over 600 years old and was built in 1375 AD during the Ming Dynasty.
