Survivors and victims of the Iran-Iraq war: Execute us instead of Toumaj

Hundreds of families of survivors and victims of the Iran-Iraq war have published an open letter asking the rulers of the Islamic Republic not to execute Toumaj Salehi, the imprisoned protest singer.

More than 460 people who signed this statement wrote: Execute us instead of Toumaj. It was us who placed the erring human in a divine position and paved the way for corruption on earth.

At the end of this open letter, the signatories have asked the rulers of the Islamic Republic to immediately stop the military and police actions against the noble and free women of Iran under the pretext of compulsory hijab.

The news of the issuance of the death sentence for protest singer Toumaj Salehi by the Revolutionary Court of Isfahan has sparked a widespread global protest against this verdict, which continues to this day.
