Taliban Deputy Prime Minister Ordered the Establishment of Two Temporary Camps at the Torkham Crossing

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Taliban ordered the creation of two temporary camps at the Torkham crossing.

Abdul Salam Hanafi, the administrative deputy of the Taliban’s Prime Minister, visited the Torkham border crossing and promised assistance to Afghans returning from Pakistan.

Mr. Hanafi, who also heads the high commission comprised of several ministries to address the issues of returnee migrants from Pakistan, went to Torkham with a delegation on Tuesday.

In this delegation, Khairullah Khairkhwa, the Minister of Information and Culture, Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, the Minister of Refugees and Returnees, and Abdul Qadeer Ahmad, the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Taliban, are also present.

Mr. Hanafi has ordered the establishment of two temporary camps, one near the town of Torkham and the other in the Daga area of Lalpur district in Nangarhar.

In a statement released by Arg on X, it is mentioned that Pakistan’s forced expulsion program is against all norms of good neighborliness and human compassion.
