The spokesperson for the Taliban government’s police in Kabul says Allah Gul Mujahid, a former member of Afghanistan’s parliament, is suspected of murder and is in custody.

Khalid Zadran wrote on X that Allah Gul Mujahid is suspected of murdering an individual named Saeedullah Faqid on February 28, 2024, in Kabul, and the existing evidence requires him to remain in detention until the completion of investigations and the court’s decision.

Allah Gul Mujahid was a former war commander and a previous representative of Kabul’s people in the last parliamentary session, who returned to Kabul in the first months after the Taliban government and was detained for several hours.
