The spokesperson for the Taliban government’s police in Kabul says Allah Gul Mujahid, a former member of Afghanistan’s parliament, is suspected of murder and is in custody.
Khalid Zadran wrote on X that Allah Gul Mujahid is suspected of murdering an individual named Saeedullah Faqid on February 28, 2024, in Kabul, and the existing documents and evidence require that he remains in custody until the investigation is completed and the court makes a decision.
Allah Gul Mujahid was a former war commander and a previous representative of the people of Kabul in the last parliamentary term. He returned to Kabul in the first months after the Taliban took power and was detained for a few hours.
