Tasnim News Agency reported on Thursday, July 20, citing an informed source that Abbas Araghchi is the most likely option for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Masoud Pezeshkian’s government.

The Tasnim source stated that during the discussions and correspondences of Pezeshkian with the leaders of paramilitary groups affiliated with the Islamic Republic and some regional countries in recent days, Araghchi has also cooperated.

In the weeks leading up to the presidential elections in Iran, a photo of Masoud Pezeshkian and Javad Zarif praying led by Abbas Araghchi was published, sparking speculation about his possible membership in the potential Pezeshkian government.
