The Tasnim News Agency reports that presidential election debates are taking place.
Tasnim News Agency stated that according to the agency’s reporters’ follow-ups with IRIB, the election debates are happening, but the planning and designs are proceeding in a way to prevent any political or electoral misconduct.
Tasnim reported that a rumor circulated in the cyberspace that television will not hold debates for the eighth presidential election in July.
While Tasnim’s reporters’ follow-ups with IRIB indicate that the design of the debate set, session scheduling, and other aspects are indicative of the establishment of the presidential candidates’ discourse in the form of televised debates.
