Diplomatic Consultation Between Tehran and Cairo on the Nuclear Issue

On Monday, September 7, Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, and Badr Abdel Aty, his Egyptian counterpart, discussed regional and international developments in a phone call.

The two sides referred to the nuclear issue of the Islamic Republic, and the two ministers emphasized that the International Atomic Energy Agency and the UN Security Council have a clear responsibility in advancing diplomacy and preventing the further complication of this issue.

They stressed the need for immediate action by the international community to stop the ongoing massacre in Gaza.
