Tehran City Council Increases Public Transportation Prices Next Year

The Tehran City Council has increased public transportation fares for the next year.

In today’s meeting, the Tehran City Council raised the ticket prices and fares for public transportation for the year 1403.

Accordingly, the single trip ticket price in Tehran, currently at 3300 tomans, will increase to 4300 tomans next year. A 30% increase in fares has been considered for suburban lines such as Parand and Hashtgerd.

With the decision of the Tehran City Council, next year the express bus ticket fare will increase by 21% and the regular bus fare by 30%.

The maximum taxi fare increase for next year has been announced to be 45%.

According to the announcement, the new rates will be implemented from the beginning of the next year’s Ordibehesht month.
