The Tehran City Council set the price of a grave in Behesht-e Zahra at 15 million tomans.

Members of the Tehran City Council approved the amount of 15 million tomans for the second and third levels of graves in Behesht-e Zahra, and the price for one level for the deceased remained free.

The head of the Health, Environment, and Urban Services Commission of the Tehran City Council stated that the proposed increase by the organization was 45% and in some cases more, which we did not accept in the commission. He said our proposal was a 38% increase in service fees, which does not include optional services provided by contractors facing a 45% increase.

Pirhadi emphasized that the cost on the day of burial, meaning burying the deceased on the day they pass away, is free, and they can choose not to reserve the other two levels without any cost.

Mehdi Chamran, the head of the Tehran City Council, also mentioned that we should visit other cemeteries to see how things are. He added that we proposed not to charge for one level. Some wealthy individuals spend tens of millions on headstones; nevertheless, we declared one level free.
