The Telegram Empire Worth $30 Billion Is Run With Just 30 Employees
According to The Daily Times, the messaging app Telegram, valued at $30 billion with over a billion active monthly users, is operated by a team of just 30 people.
Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, has deliberately designed the company structure without a human resources department, without a central office, and with minimal administrative formalities to maintain agility and quick decision-making.
Relying on deep technical expertise and broad trust in each team member, alongside extensive use of automation for managing servers and supporting users, has significantly reduced operational costs.
With a focus on cloud infrastructure, multi-device access, and strong encryption, Telegram has managed to support groups of up to 200,000 members and channels with unlimited audiences. Durov’s idea is based on remote work, reducing administrative costs, and eliminating management layers.
