The Abductor of the Father of Genetics: Paying the Dowry of My Second Wife Bankrupted Me
A former colleague of the Father of Genetics in Iran, who had hired two people to abduct the doctor, claimed in his latest confessions that he devised the kidnapping plan to compensate for the cost of paying the dowry of his second wife.
About 10 days before carrying out the act, I decided to do it. I had been sleeping in my car for six months and needed money. I got married years ago and have two children from my first wife, but I separated from her a few years later.
The doctor introduced me to his secretary, and I married her. I promised her a dowry of 114 gold coins, and it didn’t take three months before she said she didn’t want to live with me, forcing me to give a house worth about 8 billion tomans as her dowry.
I was the doctor’s purchasing supervisor for four years, but I left in 2017.
We didn’t intend to kidnap anyone; I just wanted to talk to the doctor to see if he could do something for me.
The doctor is a charitable person. I knew that if he found out about my financial troubles, he would help me.
