The Article 10 Commission of the Iranian Dental Association has no legal right to operate.
The Secretary of the Article 10 Commission on the Law of the Activities of Political Parties and Groups announced today that the Iranian Dental Association has not renewed its operating license, and this professional organization has no legal right to operate.
According to IRNA, Abdullah Moradi said that due to complaints about the illegal activities of the Iranian Dental Association for stepping outside its professional duties and acting against its charter, this decision has been made.
Mr. Moradi advised professional associations to refrain from engaging in political matters outside the framework of their legal duties.
The Iranian Dental Association, which has over two decades of history, issued a statement after the death of Mahsa Amini in the morality police’s custody, condemning violent and inappropriate behaviors and calling for an end to violent actions and harsh treatments against protestors who are peacefully demonstrating within the constitutional framework.
The Article 10 Commission on the Law of the Activities of Political Parties and Groups is an entity within the Ministry of Interior responsible for issuing licenses for professional organizations and political parties.
