The Beginning of a New Era for the Greek Economy with the End of Crisis Management
The era of maximum oversight by the European Union over the Greek economy, which began following the country’s economic and financial crisis with the establishment of a control structure for economic and financial interactions, has finally come to an end.
Since 2010, at least three rounds of financial aid from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund have been provided to Greece, amounting to over 260 billion euros. The main conditions of these aids were the implementation of strict austerity and contractionary policies, which imposed a heavy burden on the Greeks. Today is a great day for the people of Greece.
