The British ambassador in Tehran failed to address the downing of the Ukrainian plane.

Simon Shercliff, the British ambassador in Tehran, stated that the reason for the complaint by four countries against the Islamic Republic of Iran at the International Court of Justice is Iran’s failure to respond or pay compensation for the downing of the Ukrainian passenger plane.

The United Kingdom, Ukraine, Canada, and Sweden have recently filed a complaint against the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Hague Court over the downing of the Ukrainian plane in January 2020.
