In the notice published on the embassy’s WeChat account, it stated that currently, tensions in northwestern Syria are escalating and the overall security situation is worsening.

The embassy urged Chinese citizens to use available commercial flights to return home or leave Syria, warning that those who remain will face very high security risks and potential delays in receiving assistance.
