The director of Vank Historical Church in Isfahan said that due to continuous rainfall in the past two days, some of the exterior walls of the southern side of Vank Church could not withstand and collapsed. However, no damage was done to the interior wall decorations.

Vank Church, also known as Amenaprkich Church, is considered one of the architectural and artistic masterpieces in the Jolfa neighborhood of Isfahan, with a history of 350 years.

This church is the center of communication between the Armenians of Isfahan and the Armenian world, and it was built in the Jolfa neighborhood for a period of 9 years, by the order of Shah Abbas II.

Vank Church is considered one of the important historical monuments of Isfahan due to its gold work on the ceiling, as well as the historical and religious paintings on the interior dome.
