The Parliament clarified the fate of Taj

The head of the Parliament’s Physical Education Committee says Mehdi Taj should bid farewell to the Football Federation

Ahmad Rastineh commented on Mehdi Taj’s position as the president of the Football Federation, despite all the ambiguities surrounding him, stating that there are two clear and transparent legal paths. One path is for the verdicts on Mehdi Taj’s cases to be issued, and based on the law, similar to how FIFA President Blatter was forced to step down, at the very least, if judicial verdicts are issued against Taj, he should be dismissed and removed.

At least in the Article 90 Commission, according to our review, we have a consensus on three unavoidable issues regarding Taj. Firstly, managerial inefficiency, secondly, his failure to act concerning legal matters, and thirdly, the infringement on the rights of the nation and national interests, and damaging the pride of national dignity. We reached a conclusion on these matters in the Article 90 Commission, and the result will be referred to the judiciary.
