The Crystal Simorgh Winning Director Must Apologize to the People of Iran

The director who won the Simorgh must apologize to the people of Iran

Bashe Ahangar, the director of the film Metropole Cinema, after receiving the Simorgh, said that negligence at critical moments caused many of our young people and security forces to face issues on the streets, whereas a simple apology and reconciliation could have prevented these events.

If we are to follow the example of Haj Qasem Soleimani, he used to say all these girls and boys are our children; they are all Iranians and Muslims.

When events like those of the past few months occur, where should we offer support? If we delay, nothing will be effective anymore. We have failed in many instances.

We must apologize to the people of the country. I, for one, apologize to each family that has lost their children.

This country belongs to all of us. If we delay, the damage done will be irreparable.
