The Director General of the Tax Affairs Organization addresses the owners of luxury cars, stating that they have four months to pay their car taxes.

The Tax Affairs Organization in Iran has given the owners of luxury cars a four-month deadline to pay their taxes. Otherwise, they will face restrictions on transportation and transfer.

Cars valued above three billion tomans are considered luxury cars.

Shahin Mostofi, the Director of the Financial Audit Office of the Tax Affairs Organization, says that responsibilities have been assigned to the Tax Affairs Organization in the budget law, and they must calculate and collect taxes on luxury and expensive properties worth over 20 billion tomans, as well as luxury cars valued at three billion tomans.

According to official statistics from the Iranian government, since the beginning of the current year, more than 2 billion and 800 million tomans in taxes have been collected from owners of luxury and expensive cars.

The Iranian Tax Organization announced in September that it has identified 170,000 luxury cars.

In last year’s budget law, cars valued at 1.5 billion tomans were considered luxury cars, which has doubled this year.
