The elevator of corruption lifted Varmziar in the municipality

Saeed Aghanji, editor-in-chief of the Iran Gate News Agency and an investigative journalist in the field of corruption, has examined a new case involving a former oversight employee and has reached noteworthy points.

Ahmad Varmziar, also known by the alias Ahmad Kohandani, was responsible for overseeing the Tehran municipality in an oversight body. Due to economic dealings and connections with certain intermediaries, fixers, and corrupt managers of the Tehran municipality, Reza Ferdows, Hossein Abadi, and Hooman Rooh Al-Amin, he came under informational scrutiny. After months of being monitored and evidence gathering, he was ultimately removed from his position, cleansed, and dismissed. Recently, to save face, he has been appointed as a board member of the Kheibar Khorramabad club, and this news has been publicized.

This forty-year-old, according to estimates, managed to generate and earn 2 million dollars in the past five years.

On the other hand, examining his lifestyle and investigating his family, relatives, and acquaintances reveals that this former employee’s simple life has changed to an aristocratic and luxurious one. His residence has also changed from Fateh and Meydan-e-Hor and organizational houses to the Heravi neighborhood, living in the Ronika Palace towers. According to the discovered sales contract, unit 205 is registered in the name of his wife, Mrs. M. Mohammadi.

Reports collected over several months show that he comes from a family where his father is a retired judiciary employee, and his brother is also a judiciary employee. They lived for years in villages around Karaj. Later, they moved to Tehran and around Meydan-e-Hor. On the other hand, examining the life of his wife’s family, this dismissed employee from work shows they are a middle-class family. His wife’s mother, Mrs. Hashemzadeh, is also a retired judiciary employee. As a result, it was determined that the money to purchase the unit in Ronika Palace was not provided by family assistance but was obtained through facilitation and extortion.

Moreover, the purchase of a new Dena Plus car and a Peugeot 207 for his wife, registering some properties, including administrative and residential units and several shops in Hadish Mall and Kourosh Mall, and a villa in Izadshahr and a unit in the Golden Towers of Kish in the names of his children named Zohreh and Noora, showed that the mentioned person undertook actions in the form of bribery and influence peddling, which ultimately led to his removal, cleansing, and dismissal.

However, interestingly, he has now been appointed as a board member of the Kheibar Khorramabad club to maintain appearances, with the mediation of his employer, Reza Ferdows, whom Varmziar is considered an assistant to.
