The emperor, having escaped the wizard, was invited to the land of the pharaohs.
The Egyptian government has officially invited Charles III, King of Britain, to attend the major summit on combating climate change. This conference, known this year as COP27, will be hosted by Egypt in early November with the participation of many of the most prominent political, economic, and scientific figures from around the world.
This official invitation from the Egyptians to the King of Britain is actually a re-invitation. Liz Truss, the resigned Prime Minister, had little interest in climate change policies and had established strong ties with energy companies. She had officially blocked the King’s trip to Egypt and his attendance at the major climate change summit. Now that Truss is gone, the Egyptians have sent the invitation again.
