The exact number of casualties in Zahedan is still unclear.

Five days after the bloody Friday in Zahedan, the exact number of casualties from these protests is still unclear, and various sources are releasing different figures regarding the number of deaths.

While official sources of the Islamic Republic continue to state that the death toll is 19, local sources report numbers ranging from 67 to 88 deaths.

The Human Rights Activists Campaign says it has recorded the names of 67 victims so far. According to these sources, the list of the deceased includes children aged 2 to 16.
