Fars: The exchange of messages between Iran and the USA has been halted for several days

The Fars News Agency reported, citing a knowledgeable source, that the exchange of messages between Iran and the USA has been halted for at least several days.

According to this report, the last message sent from Tehran to Washington was a clear message about Lebanon, but no further details about its content have been released.

This report is being published while Donald Trump, a few hours earlier, spoke of rapid progress in negotiations with Iran and expressed hope that an agreement between the two countries might be finalized by next week.

Earlier, the Tasnim News Agency had reported that due to ongoing Israeli attacks in Lebanon, the Iranian negotiating team had halted talks and the exchange of texts through intermediaries.

Nevertheless, Trump, in response to these reports, said that Iran had not informed the USA of such a decision.

Meanwhile, Saeed Ajrlu, a member of the media team of the Iranian negotiating delegation, has announced that the new American proposal is still under review and Tehran has not yet provided a response to it.
