The first session for the Ekbatan Complex case was held.

While part of the case known as the Ekbatan Complex is being pursued in the Criminal Court One, the first session of this case was held in the Revolutionary Court on Tuesday, February 20.

According to Hrana, this session was held in Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Abolqasem Salavati, with eight defendants present.

These eight protesters, who were arrested last year, include Milad Armon, Alireza Kafaei, Amir Mohammad Khoshaghbal, Alireza Barmerz Pournak, Mohammad Mahdi Hosseini, Hossein Nemati, Mehdi Imani, and Navid Najaran.

According to Hrana, during this session, after the indictment was read, the defendants were asked to present their defenses regarding their charges, which include accusations such as ‘waging war against God’, assembly and collusion, insulting the leadership, propaganda against the regime, and membership in opposition groups.

In November last year, during the ‘Woman, Life, Freedom’ protests, a Basij force member named Arman Aliwardi was killed in the Ekbatan Complex in northwest Tehran, and following this, security forces arrested 50 young residents of this complex.
