The French court has issued an international arrest warrant for Bashar al-Assad.

A court in France has issued an arrest warrant for the President of Syria, accusing him of complicity in crimes against humanity in chemical attacks in the country in 2013.

According to the French news agency, Assad has also been found guilty of complicity in war crimes against his regime’s opponents. International warrants for the arrest of Maher al-Assad, Bashar’s brother, have also been issued.
