The inflation index has accelerated in Azar 1402.

A new report from the Statistical Center of Iran shows that the inflation index has accelerated in Azar 1402.

According to this report, which has been published on the Statistical Center’s website, the prices of goods and services in Azar month have grown by about 29% compared to this year’s Aban month, which is the highest monthly inflation rate since Ordibehesht 1402.

Furthermore, the price growth of goods and services in Azar month compared to the same month last year has reached over 40%, which is also the highest year-on-year inflation rate since Tir month of this year.

According to the estimates of the Statistical Center, the price of various types of meat has experienced the highest growth among food items, and even the price of red and white meat has grown by 97%, which means it has almost doubled.

This significant increase in the price of red meat comes at a time when, according to the statistics of the previous month, its production in the country has decreased by 30% and reached 37,000 tons, which is equivalent to the consumption of half a kilogram of red meat per Iranian citizen in one month.
