The Iranian Development Newspaper also published the confidential directive

In today’s issue, the Iranian Development Newspaper published a highly confidential directive from the Minister of Interior, the content of which includes orders for dealing with women who do not comply with the mandatory hijab.

Yesterday, the Etemad Newspaper also published this directive, and the judiciary filed charges against this newspaper.

Many legal experts believe that because this document is related to citizens’ rights, it should not be considered a classified document at all.

In early December, Ahmad Vahidi, Iran’s Minister of Interior, stated regarding the non-compliance with the hijab that we do not have any special authorization for this, and their presence under the command of promoting virtue and preventing vice is apparently carried out by community groups.

The publication of this document clearly contradicts his statements.

A part of the published document states that the Intelligence Organization of FARAJA, the IRGC Intelligence Organization, and the Ministry of Intelligence should extensively carry out filming and documentation to identify those who unveil or exhibit nudity, and send the results immediately to FARAJA or judicial authorities.

This directive also puts photographing all parts of the metro and inside the carriages and preparing documentation on the immediate agenda.
