The Iranian meteorology expert is unable to provide accurate forecasts.

Hossein Ardakani, recalling that about 3 months ago I predicted that between February 9th and 19th very cold snowy weather would enter Iran, stated that this was an academic model and this prediction came true.

He stated that the cold will continue next week and we will have light snowfall, adding that currently in various countries around the world, accurate forecasts are made three to four months in advance, but unfortunately, our country’s meteorological organization is unable to provide such forecasts.

He raised the question of why the country’s meteorological organization cannot have a 3 to 4 month forecast and reminded that it seems the Minister of Roads and Urban Development should pay special attention to this issue.

Sahar Tajbakhsh Mosalman, the head of the meteorological organization, said on February 15th this year that some people’s views on meteorological forecasts are idealistic, but naturally, when they have knowledge of this subject, they know the possibility of making ideal forecasts is almost zero and one cannot make a definite statement about the future. Many of the feedbacks we see from the status of forecasts and the performance of the meteorological organization from officials and the public are positive compared to the past.
