The Iraqi government condemned the recent attack on the Jordanian and Syrian borders.

The Iraqi government, through intensified statements, strongly condemned the escalating tensions in the region, particularly following the recent attack on a US forces headquarters located a few kilometers from the American base in Al-Tanf, on the Iraq-Syria-Jordan border.

According to a statement by the Iraqi Prime Minister’s office spokesperson, Basim Al-Awadi, the government of Iraq emphasized its deep concern over the dangerous security developments in the region.

As reported by Middle East News, the statement emphasized Iraq’s desire to halt the cycle of violence and expressed readiness to work towards establishing fundamental rules of interaction to prevent further consequences in the region and prevent the escalation of the conflict.

The Iraqi government stated that these developments threaten regional and international peace and security.

According to the Iraqi government, these developments also pose a threat to trade, economy, and energy supply.
