The latest court session for the defendants of the Ekbatan case was held.

Reza Shafakhah, a lawyer, says that the latest court session for the defendants in the Ekbatan case, which involves the murder of a Basij student, was held at Branch 13 of the Tehran Criminal Court, and the court’s verdict will be issued soon.

Mr. Shafakhah, who is the lawyer for one of the defendants, Hussein Namati, wrote on his social media account that the final session of the trial for the Ekbatan case was held today, the 18th of Dey month, and the last defense statements were presented on behalf of Hussein Namati. We are waiting for the court’s judgment to be issued.

According to human rights media, Milad Arman, Alireza Kafaee, Amir Mohammad Khoshghabal, Alireza Barmarzpoornak, Mehdi Hosseini, Hussein Namati, Mehdi Imani, and Navid Najaran are among the detainees of the 1401 nationwide protests who are being tried in this case.

The judiciary has charged these individuals with participating in murder, insurgency, and conspiracy against national security.

This case is related to the murder of a Basij member in the Ekbatan neighborhood.
