The leader of the Islamic Republic says Israel is doomed to disappear
Ayatollah Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stated in a meeting with ambassadors of Islamic countries that the gamble of normalizing relations with Israel is a complete loss, and Israel is doomed to disappear.
These remarks come at a time when Saudi Arabia is hosting its second Israeli minister within a week, and the U.S. is seeking to normalize relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv.
He, who focused most of his remarks on the issue of Israel, said the definitive opinion of the Islamic Republic is that governments that take the gamble of normalizing with Israel as their model will suffer losses. They are making a mistake, and as Europeans say, they are betting on a losing horse.
The leader of the Islamic Republic emphasized that the Palestinian movement is more vigorous than ever. He recalled Ayatollah Khomeini’s words, describing Israel as a cancer that will be eradicated by Palestinian forces and resistance forces throughout the region.
Ayatollah Khamenei stated that Israel not only has animosity towards Iran but also bears grudges against Egypt, Iraq, and Syria, and is not pleased with the countries surrounding it.
The leader of the Islamic Republic, using a metaphor from the Quran, said ‘Die in your rage,’ and stated that this is coming true for Israel.
These remarks by the leader of the Islamic Republic coincide with increased efforts and U.S. mediation to normalize relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv. Saudi Arabia is hosting Shlomo Karhi, the Israeli Minister of Communications, who arrived in the country on Monday.
Last month, Israel announced that the framework of an agreement, mediated by the U.S. for normalizing relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia, might be realized by early next year.
