Hamid Nouri’s life imprisonment sentence has been confirmed.

On Wednesday, December 19th, the Court of Appeal in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, announced its decision regarding the request for a review of the case of Hamid Nouri’s life imprisonment.

According to this verdict, the life imprisonment sentence for this former judicial figure of the Islamic Republic, who has been convicted of war crimes and murder by the initial court, has been upheld.

In addition to the life imprisonment sentence for Hamid Nouri, he has also been sentenced to pay compensation to the families of the victims and political prisoners.

The life imprisonment sentence in Sweden is equivalent to 25 years in prison, according to the Stockholm court. Nouri has also been sentenced to deportation from Sweden after serving his prison term.
