The Ministry of Sports and Youth: The number of unmarried individuals is 12 million

The Ministry of Sports and Youth stated that there are 12 million unmarried individuals in the population who have not been married.

The Director General of Planning at the Ministry of Sports and Youth mentioned that due to significant conflicts between the facilitation of marriage law and the youth law, no action has been taken in the thirteenth government.

Currently, the population of unmarried individuals who have not been married is approximately 12 million, especially among girls who are over 35 years old. There is concern that this will lead to permanent singleness among them. This issue has consequences and negative effects. Many support institutions are unable to provide support to these families and individuals. In general, marriage is one of the factors that prevents many damages.

Through a research study, we have examined various factors influencing the inclination or disinclination of young people. Cultural, economic, and social factors are all intertwined. If we rank these factors, mental attitude is the most prominent, as statistics show that in disadvantaged and less privileged areas, the percentage of marriages is higher than in affluent areas.
