The most popular social networks in the world: Facebook and YouTube at the top, X and LinkedIn at the bottom

An analysis of data from a commercial data analytics platform in the last month of 2023 shows that Facebook, with three billion users, and YouTube, with over 2.6 billion users, are at the top of the list of the world’s most popular social networks.

The two social networks WhatsApp and Instagram, with less than 2.5 billion users, are in third and fourth place, and following these four American social networks is the Chinese TikTok with 1.6 billion users.

At the bottom of the list are the two social networks X and LinkedIn, each with under half a billion users.
