The North Korean leader has never been this serious about the risk of starting a nuclear war.

Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, blaming the United States for what he considers a hostile policy against Pyongyang, says that the risk of starting a nuclear war has never been this serious before.

According to North Korea’s state news agency, Mr. Kim said yesterday at a military exhibition that never before have the two sides involved in the Korean Peninsula conflict faced such a dangerous confrontation and clash that could lead to a destructive nuclear war.

Mr. Kim said that North Korea has exerted its utmost effort in negotiations with the United States and accused the U.S. of pursuing an unchangeable power-seeking and hostile policy towards his country.

Mr. Kim’s remarks come amid increasing concerns about the strengthening of military relations between Russia and North Korea in the war with Ukraine.
