The President of Turkey: Syria should not be divided again

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Turkey, announced on Tuesday, December 11, that Syria should not be divided again and that Turkey will respond to any actions threatening the territorial integrity of this country.

He emphasized that Turkey opposes any actions against the freedom of the Syrian people, the stability of the new government, and the territorial unity of this country.

Erdoğan also highlighted Turkey’s concerns regarding the influence of Kurdish separatists in Syria.

In this context, forces supported by Turkey have launched operations against areas under Kurdish control in northern Syria.

Additionally, the Turkish Foreign Minister urged Kurdish forces not to use the situation following Assad’s removal to expand their influence.
