The Russian President’s new nuclear missile can bypass any defense system
According to Reuters, Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, during a visit to one of the command posts of the joint forces involved in the Ukraine war, announced the successful test of the Burevestnik nuclear cruise missile, a weapon with a nuclear propulsion system and an almost unlimited range, which, according to Moscow, can bypass any defense system.
In this meeting, Valery Gerasimov, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, reported to Putin that this missile was launched on October 21 and traveled approximately 14,000 kilometers during a 15-hour flight.
He emphasized that Burevestnik flew with nuclear power and had the capability to perform all horizontal and vertical maneuvers during the flight, meaning it can bypass any air defense system.
Putin also responded by saying that this is a unique weapon that no other country in the world possesses.
At one time, some experts said that achieving such technology was impossible, but now its critical tests have been successfully completed.
He ordered that the precise classification of this weapon, its potential applications, and the necessary infrastructure for its deployment in the Russian army be examined.
