The Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives says Washington’s new project is to open the Strait of Hormuz.

Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, stated that the U.S. military operations against Iran have ended, and Washington’s focus is now on reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

In an interview with Fox News, he said it has been announced that Operation Epic Wrath has concluded, and indeed it has. Now we have entered a new project, which is reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

Johnson also dismissed the Democrats’ efforts to require the Trump administration to obtain congressional authorization for war with Iran, saying now is not the time to discuss the War Powers Act.

The Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives emphasized that the process of reopening the Strait of Hormuz is currently being pursued through diplomacy and negotiation, and no new military conflict has occurred.
