The United States and 17 other countries call for the release of hostages in Gaza
A coalition of 17 countries around the world has issued a statement calling on Hamas to release all the hostages it still holds
Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Canada, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Thailand, Hungary, the United Kingdom, and the United States are part of this coalition
In the joint statement released by these countries on Thursday, April 25, it is stated that the release of hostages could pave the way for a ceasefire and more humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza
These countries, expressing that the fate of hostages and Gaza’s civilians is a concern for the international community, have emphasized that an agreement already in place for the release of hostages will accompany an immediate and long-term ceasefire in Gaza
