The United States and Saudi Arabia are on the brink of a historic security pact
According to a report published by Bloomberg News on Thursday, May 2, by informed sources, the United States and Saudi Arabia are nearing a historic security agreement. This agreement will likely pave the way for the Saudis to acquire advanced weaponry, which must be approved by the U.S. Senate, and ensure the security of the country.
It also provides a framework for normalizing Saudi relations with Israel if Israel ends the Gaza conflict.
According to the report, in return for U.S. investment in advanced technology, including artificial intelligence, and the expansion of its civilian nuclear program, Saudi Arabia will limit Chinese technology in the most sensitive networks of the country.
The United States and Saudi Arabia have recently accelerated efforts for this agreement. Bloomberg wrote that initially, it was thought this would be a trilateral agreement, but now the U.S. and Saudi Arabia view an agreement between the two as central.
