The women’s national football team goalkeeper was in love with Messi and wanted to marry him.

Zahra Khajavi, the goalkeeper of the women’s national football team, was a guest on Amirhossein Ghiasi’s program ‘Cruciate Ligament’ and mentioned that she had a fondness for Messi and wanted to marry him.

She, who holds the record for the longest clean sheet in club football, further mentioned that she doesn’t watch football and the last match she saw was when Messi was playing for Barcelona.

Zahra Khajavi, 28, was born in Nahavand and is a member of Khatun Bam club. In the Iranian Women’s Premier League 2019-2020, she managed to keep a clean sheet for 953 minutes across 10 consecutive games, setting the best goalkeeping record in Iranian women’s football history at the age of 21.

Khajavi initially started with handball at the age of 9 but accidentally ended up in futsal halls. After that, she was invited to the Iranian women’s under-14 national football team.
