The Attorney General of the country demands the rapid investigation of the violations of Esteghlal Club
Following the request of the head of the Privatization Organization, Mohammad Jafar Montazeri, the Attorney General of Iran, ordered that the report of violations by Esteghlal Club be investigated with precision and speed to prevent the infringement of public funds.
Esteghlal Club is accused of providing incorrect and false information, leading to improper valuation of the enterprise and loss of trust among buyers and the general public.
The Privatization Organization has filed a complaint against Mostafa Ajorlou, the former CEO of the club, and Mohammad Momeni, Moqaddam Mahdi Afzali, Parviz Mazloumi, and Hojjat Karimi, members of the board of directors.
The privatization issue of Persepolis and Esteghlal clubs is an ongoing matter that has been raised multiple times but has not been properly addressed due to the financial opacity of these clubs as well as political and security reasons.
It was previously stated that the Tehran Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the case of Andrea Stramaccioni, the former Italian coach of Esteghlal Club.
