The reason for Queiroz’s anger at Ramin Rezaeian

During one of the recent national team practices, a strange incident occurred, which surprised the journalists present.

Ramin Rezaeian and Omid Noorafkan were responsible for delivering crosses from the flanks during this practice, and when one or two crosses by the former Persepolis right-back went wrong, Carlos Queiroz suddenly became upset.

The Portuguese head coach of the national team, who himself had invited Ramin Rezaeian back to the national team after a long time, criticized the player’s crossing technique and angrily shouted at him, ‘Who do you think you are?’

Perhaps no one would have believed Queiroz would say such a thing to his favorite right-back, but it is heard that the issue traces back to an interview. Apparently, Ramin Rezaeian had vowed not to give interviews for a while, and after the Sepahan vs. Persepolis match in Isfahan, he said, ‘I won’t give interviews until the people’s situation improves.’

In this context, during one of the practices, Ramin Rezaeian was told to do an interview about the national team’s condition and the friendly matches like the other players, but it seems he stuck to his previous vow and did not give an interview. This is what provoked Carlos Queiroz’s anger, as he is not accustomed to a player in his team playing out of tune and setting themselves apart from the others.
