Three protesters were killed in Divandarreh, Kurdistan

On Saturday, November 19, the city of Divandarreh in Kurdistan Province witnessed protests by hundreds of people, which were met with violent suppression by the Islamic Republic’s security and law enforcement forces. Government forces shot and killed three individuals who had taken to the streets.

Divandarreh, near the city of Sanandaj, is one of the places where protests have intensified in recent days. Several villages around Sanandaj and some other cities in this province have also joined the protests in recent days. This is notable because such protests have been less common in rural areas in the past.
