Towards the Historical Agreement between Lebanon and Israel
A prominent figure from the U.S. President’s foreign policy team will head to the Middle East to prepare for the signing ceremony of the historic agreement between Lebanon and Israel regarding maritime borders and gas extraction from fields located in these areas. Having secured special concessions for Lebanon in recent months, this figure aims to facilitate new energy resources for Lebanon through further negotiations with Egypt and Jordan, to provide electricity and gas to the country. The efforts of this key Western foreign policy figure in the Middle East are focused on stabilizing Lebanon’s situation, and his negotiations with the World Bank to assist the country are serious. He has even declared that the passage of pipelines from Syria to Lebanon is not significant in terms of sanctions discussions, to ensure maximum aid to Lebanon.
